Women's Center Furniture & More Thrift Shop

100%non-profit organization which supports the Women's Center of Brevard for domestic abuse victims and their families in the Melbourne area. Programs and services provided by the Women's Center include: career guidance, counseling services, financial assistance, job training, transitional housing, victim advocacy and as a resource to other community services. Our goals:
• To support the programs and services of the Women's Center and their clients.
• To provide quality pre-owned items at affordable prices to all members of the community.
• To provide a clean and customer friendly shopping environment.
• To support recycling efforts by preventing re-usable items from going to the landfill (including; furniture, clothing, household items, cellular phones*, eyeglasses*, ink cartridges*, etc.) *donated to other organizations in the community for recycling.

Always needed:
• Clean pre-owned furniture items in good re-sellable condition, including living room, dining room and bedroom furniture**.
• Appliances and computers systems with Windows XP in good working condition (less than seven years old).
• Non-perishable food items for the Women's Center Pantry.
• Volunteers - full time, part time, anytime***. Applications available . (***Volunteering can be as easy as staying an extra half hour longer to help the next time you stop by to shop!)

All donations are greatly appreciated and can be dropped off at our Babcock Street location during normal business hours.

**Requests to pick up furniture items can be arranged by calling (321) 254-4060 in advance to schedule an appointment.

**Please note: Since we rely primarily on volunteers and do not have the additional staff to clean or repair items, we can not accept anything that is in need of extensive cleaning or repair, that is rusty, or that has previously gotten wet or damaged by moisture, mold, or mildew.
