The Women's Center Counseling Services Department is pleased to announce that we have expanded our services to help fulfill the needs of the citizens of Brevard County.
The newest expansion includes the addition of several independently contracted licensed therapists, interns, and graduate students for a total of fifthteen therapists. The Women's Center Counseling Services has also recently added evening hours as well as Saturday morning hours.
Several therapists are on insurance panels and can accept insurance assignments and we offer sliding scale fees for uninsured clients to be seen by licensed therapists or registered interns. We also have low cost counseling by graduate students.
The Women's Center specializes in providing a wide range of counseling services.
Treatment is available for depression, anxiety, eating disorders, self-injurious behaviors, relationship & communication difficulties, self-esteem, family issues, divorce, grief or loss, anger management, stress management, addictions, issues of aging, and personality disorders.
The Women's Center Counseling Services provides services for children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. We offer counseling to men and women.
We offer a variety of services for victims of sexual assault, incest, domestic violence, and other violent crimes including individual and group counseling. We are a major source of referral for Sexual Assault Victims Services (SAVS), as well as the law enforcement agencies in the county.
We currently offer free support groups for adult victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and incest, as well as Kool Kids, which is a group for children ages 6-12, who have been victims of or exposed to domestic violence.
We have several new groups now forming including a Women in Transition Group and a Women's
Self Esteem/co-dependency Group.
