Loving Relationships
Consider the Butterfly
In any relationship each person must have his or her own identity, own talents, thoughts, interests, feelings, likes and dislikes. All of these things and more make up one wing of the butterfly.
The other wing is the identity of the other person.
The body of the butterfly is where the interests, desires, likes, and dislikes of the two individuals are common.
If one individual overpowers the other by controlling or somehow not allowing the person to be an individual entity- then the wings become off balance and the butterfly can not fly.
Many relationships lack enough common interests to have a secure body - at some point the balance is no longer there and the wings fly off separately floating alone.
This concept applies to all relationships.
